The Insights section (Manage → Insights) is the analytics command center for property managers. It transforms raw tip and rating data into actionable intelligence about your team, guests, and operations.

Insights requires Manager role (30) or above.

Insights Overview Page

The main Insights page presents a comprehensive snapshot of your property's performance across four dimensions:

KPI Cards

Each KPI card shows:

  • Current value (e.g., total tips this period)
  • % change vs. the previous period
  • Trend sparkline - mini chart showing the trend curve
  • Priority badge (high / medium / low) indicating urgency

Cards are color-coded for quick scanning:

  • Emerald - earnings (positive/financial)
  • Blue - volume metrics
  • Amber - attention/watch items
  • Purple - ratings/satisfaction
  • Rose - risk/declining metrics
  • Cyan - engagement metrics
  • Orange - operational metrics

Period Selection

All Insights data is powered by BigQuery and scoped to three periods:

  • 7 days - week-over-week view
  • 30 days - monthly performance
  • 90 days - quarterly trends

Tips Analytics (/manage/insights/tips)

  • Total tip volume and count
  • Tip amount distribution (average, median, min, max)
  • Tips by hour of day (when guests are tipping)
  • Tips by department/outlet
  • Top tippers (guests by total amount)

Revenue (/manage/insights/revenue)

  • Gross and net revenue flow
  • Period-over-period revenue comparison
  • Revenue by department and outlet
  • Payout status breakdown (pending / settled / disbursed)

Performance (/manage/insights/performance)

  • Employee performance leaderboard (BigQuery-enriched)
  • Team vs. target comparisons
  • Coaching opportunity flags (employees with declining ratings)
  • Active days analysis (team engagement)

Satisfaction (/manage/insights/satisfaction)

  • Average rating trend over time
  • Rating distribution (star breakdown: 1★–5★)
  • Sentiment analysis from guest comments
  • Guest detractor → recovery tracking
  • Department and outlet satisfaction comparison

Department & Section Comparison

The overview page includes a Section/Department Performance comparison - a table or chart showing each department's:

  • Tip volume
  • Average rating
  • Rating count
  • Trend direction vs. previous period

Use this to identify outperforming departments and areas needing coaching.

Predictive Signals & Alerts

At the bottom of Insights, a Predictive Insights panel surfaces AI-powered signals:

Each signal includes:

  • Confidence % - how certain the system is
  • Impact level - high / medium / low
  • Action CTA - a suggested next step

Reports Page (/manage/reports)

A summary-focused alternative to Insights. The Reports page shows:

  • Stat cards with trend arrows: total tips, average rating, transaction count, satisfaction %
  • Drill-down links to sub-reports: Tips, Revenue, Performance, Ratings

Use Reports for quick weekly check-ins. Use Insights for deep operational analysis.
