Integrate Aplauso and work with trustworthy data

Use the API, webhooks, environment controls, exports, and reporting guidance to connect Aplauso safely with the rest of the operation.

Use the API-resolved environment instead of inferring environment in a client.
Webhook processing is designed to be idempotent.
Live, sandbox, and demo data are intentionally separated for safer testing.

The practical path

  1. 1

Start with the API quick start in sandbox or demo.

  2. 2

Authenticate with the least privilege required for the integration.

  3. 3

Treat API responses and authoritative payment events as the source of truth.

  4. 4

Use stable identifiers for the employee, outlet, or department destination.

  5. 5

Test failure, retry, and webhook behavior before connecting a production workflow.

Common questions

Can we test an integration without real charges?

Yes. Use the supported sandbox or demo environment and payment-provider test methods; keep those records separate from live operations.

Should an integration calculate tip sharing itself?

No. The canonical destination and its saved policy are the authoritative distribution inputs. Integrations should read the resulting records rather than recreate financial logic in a client.
