Account Deactivation (Reversible)

Deactivating your account puts it on hold without permanently removing anything.

What deactivation does:

  • Your profile is hidden from guests and the employee directory
  • You stop receiving all notifications
  • Your QR code and tipping page become inaccessible to guests
  • Your wallet balance is preserved

To reactivate: Simply sign back in. Your account is restored automatically on next login with no data loss.

How to deactivate:

  1. Go to Settings > Account.
  2. Click Deactivate Account.
  3. Confirm in the dialog.

Account Deletion (Permanent, 30-Day Grace Period)

Permanent account deletion removes all your personal data from the Aplauso platform. Due to the irreversibility, a 30-day grace period is provided.

What deletion removes (after 30 days):

  • All profile data (name, photo, bio)
  • Complete tip and transaction history
  • All ratings and reviews
  • Wallet balances and payout history
  • Personal information and preferences

The 30-day grace period: If you delete your account and change your mind, sign back in within 30 days to restore everything. After 30 days, the deletion becomes permanent and cannot be undone.

How to delete:

  1. Go to Settings > Account.
  2. Click Delete Account.
  3. Read the warning carefully and type your confirmation text.
  4. Click Confirm Delete.

You will receive an email confirming that deletion has been initiated and when the 30-day grace period ends.

Note: Outstanding wallet balances should be withdrawn before account deletion. Contact Aplauso support if you have unclaimed funds at the time of deletion.

Exporting Your Data

You can download a complete copy of all your personal data stored by Aplauso at any time.

What is included in the export:

  • Profile information
  • Tip and transaction history
  • Ratings history
  • Notification and privacy settings

Format: JSON

How to export:

  1. Go to Settings > Account.
  2. Click Export My Data.
  3. Confirm the request.
  4. You will receive an email with a download link within 24 hours.

The download link is secure and time-limited. Re-request the export if your link expires before you download.
