Your Aplauso account is the central identity that connects your profile, earnings wallet, tip history, and notification preferences. This article gives you an overview of everything available under your account settings.
Where to Find Account Settings
Log in at my.aplauso.io and go to Settings in the left navigation sidebar. Settings are organized into sections:
| Section | What You Configure |
|---|---|
| Profile | Name, bio, photo, language, currency, rating prompt |
| Notifications | Email, push, and SMS alerts for tips, ratings, and reports |
| Privacy | Who can see your profile, ratings, and tip totals |
| Payment | Wallet status, payout setup, and Stripe Connect access |
| Security | Password change, active sign-in method |
| Preferences | Dark mode, compact view |
| Account | Data export, account deactivation, account deletion |
Your Role
Every Aplauso account has a role that determines what you can see and manage. Roles range from individual Employee (tips, wallet, QR code) up to PropertyAdmin (manage a whole property's employees and settings) and higher.
Your current role is shown on your account profile card. If you need a different level of access, contact your property manager.
Multiple Properties
If you work at more than one property on the Aplauso platform, you may have separate employee records for each. Use the context switcher at the top of the dashboard to toggle between your active employee contexts without signing out.
Environments
Your account has three separate data environments - live, sandbox, and demo - each with its own tip history and wallet balance. Everyday use runs in the live environment. Sandbox is for testing.
In the personal dashboard, go to Settings > Payment and use the Live / Training control to switch between your production data and training data. When you switch to Training, the dashboard reloads the payment state into the sandbox environment so balances, tips, referrals, and Stripe wallet setup all stay isolated from live activity.
Training mode is for practice only: it uses Stripe test data, does not charge real cards, and does not send real payouts to your bank.
If you see a colored environment banner, you are working outside live mode.
