Your Aplauso profile is what guests see on the kiosk tipping page when they scan your QR code. Keeping it complete and up to date makes the tipping experience more personal.
Accessing Profile Settings
Go to my.aplauso.io > Settings > Profile.
What You Can Edit
Display Name
Your full name as it appears on the kiosk and in the employee directory. Guests see this name when they scan your QR code. Use the name guests would recognize.
Bio
A short description of yourself or your role - up to 200 characters. Shown on your tipping profile page. Examples:
- "Housekeeping specialist. Thank you for letting me take care of your room!"
- "Pool Bar bartender. I love making the perfect cocktail for your vacation."
Profile Photo
Your photo is shown prominently on the kiosk tipping page. A clear, professional-looking headshot works best. Tap the avatar icon to:
- Upload a photo from your device
- Take a new photo with your camera
Photos are resized automatically. Keep the image reasonably square for best display.
Language
Your preferred language for the dashboard interface. Available options: English and Spanish. This setting affects the dashboard only; guests can choose their own language at the kiosk.
Currency
Your preferred display currency for earnings. This affects how amounts are displayed in your dashboard and reports. The actual transaction currency is set at the property level.
Rating Prompt
The question shown to guests above the star rating on your personal kiosk page. Default: "How's my service?"
Customize this to match your role or personality:
- "How was your massage today?"
- "Rate your valet experience!"
- "How can I make your stay better?"
Category
Your service category (e.g., "Individual - Hospitality"). This is used in analytics and the employee directory.
Saving Changes
Changes are saved automatically as you update each field, or click Save Profile at the bottom of the section. Changes to your name and photo appear on the kiosk within a few minutes.
Email Address
Your email address is shown in the Profile section but is read-only - it reflects the address registered with your Firebase account. To change your primary email, contact Aplauso support.
