Aplauso connects to several external platforms to handle payments, messaging, analytics, and hotel system integrations. This article explains what each integration does and where to find its settings.

Payment Integrations

All guest payments are processed through Stripe. This covers:

  • Credit and debit cards (via Stripe Checkout)
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay (via Stripe Payment Request API)
  • Room charge (via internal folio linkage)

Each employee who receives tips has their own Stripe Express connected account - funds go directly to the employee's Stripe wallet and then to their bank, not through Aplauso's main account.

Webhook System

Aplauso uses a Stripe webhook listener to finalize tips in real time. When Stripe confirms a payment, the webhook:

  1. Finds the matching tip record
  2. Marks it as finalized
  3. Creates dividend records for all eligible recipients

No external webhook configuration is required from property admins. The Stripe webhook is managed centrally by Aplauso.

Planned Integrations

The following are in development or planned:

  • API keys for custom venue integrations (see API & Developers)
  • Direct PMS sync with systems like Opera, Mews, and Agilysys (currently requires visit records to be pre-populated)
