Aplauso rewards consistent performance with a built-in achievement and milestone system. As you earn tips and collect ratings, you automatically unlock badges that recognize your progress.
Where to Find Achievements
Two entry points:
- Home screen - a teaser card on the Home tab shows your current achievement count and the next milestone to unlock.
- Achievements tab - accessible from Home → tap the achievements teaser card → opens the full Achievements Detail screen.
A second screen, Accomplishments / Milestones, can be reached from the Achievements Detail screen and shows your overall progress percentage.
Achievements Detail Screen
This screen shows:
- Overall progress bar - e.g., "7 of 12 unlocked"
- Unlocked achievements (green left border, checkmark badge):
- Achievement title and description
- The icon and color associated with the achievement
- Locked achievements (lock icon, gray):
- What the achievement requires
- Mini progress bar if you have partial progress toward it
Milestones / Accomplishments Screen
A companion screen that frames achievements as career milestones:
- Overall progress % shown as a large number
- Progress bar (yellow/gold)
- "Next up" card - highlights the single next achievement to pursue
- Full milestone list with trophy icons for completed and lock icons for pending items
- Motivational message: "Keep your streak going - milestones unlock automatically as you earn tips and receive great ratings."
How Achievements Are Unlocked
Achievements are computed automatically based on your activity:
- Tip count milestones - e.g., first tip, 10 tips, 50 tips, 100 tips
- Total earnings milestones - earnings thresholds
- Rating milestones - e.g., first 5-star rating, 10 consecutive 5-star ratings
- Average rating milestones - maintaining a high average over a time period
- Streak achievements - tips on consecutive days
You do not need to do anything special - achievements unlock automatically when the criteria are met and your data refreshes.
Notifications
When you unlock an achievement, a gold "Achievement" notification appears in the Alerts tab. Pull down to refresh on the Home screen to see your updated count immediately after a milestone is reached.
FAQ
Can achievements be lost? No. Once an achievement is unlocked, it stays unlocked permanently.
Do achievements affect my payout? Achievements are recognition-based only and do not modify tip amounts or payout rates.
Why does my progress bar show 0% when I have tips? Pull down to refresh the Home screen. Achievements are computed from locally synced data and update when the app fetches new tips from the server.
Are achievements visible to guests? Not currently. Achievements are visible only to you in the app.
