Welcome to Aplauso! This guide walks you through downloading the app, signing in, setting up your profile, opening your reward card, and collecting your first tip — all in under 10 minutes.

Step 1 — Download the App

Or visit aplauso.io/signup on your phone — it detects your device and sends you to the right app path.

Step 2 — Sign In

  1. Open the app and tap Get Started after the welcome tour.
  2. Enter your phone number and tap Send Code.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code you receive via SMS.

Your phone number links you to the employee record your manager already created. If you see "No employee record found," ask your manager to create your profile in the Aplauso Dashboard first.

Step 3 — Complete Your Profile

After sign-in the app walks you through a short setup:

  1. Enter your name — this appears on your public tipping page.
  2. Add a photo (optional) — helps guests recognize you.
  3. Set your rating prompt — choose or customize the question guests see.

Step 4 — Your Page Is Live

As soon as your profile is ready, your tip link is live and ready to share. The Reward tab lets you surface it in a few formats:

  1. Tap the Reward tab.
  2. Show your QR Code, copy your personal reward link, or open Sign Mode.
  3. Start collecting ratings and tips immediately.

Your accomplishment progress follows that same path, so sharing and first earning show up before payout setup in the app's motivation layer.

This is the fastest path to your first earning in Aplauso.

Step 5 — Connect Your Payout Method

To receive tip payouts:

  1. Go to the Wallet tab.
  2. Tap Set Up Payouts.
  3. Follow the Stripe onboarding flow to add your bank account.

You can skip this step and do it later — tips still accumulate in your wallet.

Step 6 — Collect Your First Tip

You have two ways to receive tips right away:

Option A — QR Code

  1. Tap the Reward tab (center star button).
  2. Show the QR Code to a guest — they scan it and tip from their phone.

Option B — Tap to Pay

  1. Tap the Reward tab → Device sub-tab.
  2. Hand the phone to the guest — they tap their card or Apple/Google Pay.
