The Aplauso mobile app is organized around a five-tab bottom navigation bar. Each tab provides a focused set of features for employees.
The Five Tabs
1. Home (House icon)
Your earnings dashboard. This is where you see:
- This Week tip total, count, and average rating
- Week-over-week performance comparison
- Teaser cards for: Achievements progress, upcoming milestones
- Quick access to Earnings Detail, All Tips, All Ratings, and Wallet
Key sub-screens:
- Earnings Detail - this week vs. last week breakdown
- Tips Detail - searchable, filterable tip history
- Ratings Detail - all your guest ratings with star filter
- Transaction Detail - individual tip details including Stripe transaction ID
- Achievements Detail - unlocked and locked achievements
- Accomplishments - milestones and overall progress
2. Wallet (Wallet icon)
Your payout center. See your available balance, connect Stripe, and access the Stripe dashboard to initiate withdrawals.

3. Reward (Center star button - custom)
Accept tips from guests. This tab has two sub-tabs:
- QR Code - display your personal tipping QR code (default view)
- Device - Tap to Pay mode for contactless payments

4. Alerts (Bell icon)
Your in-app notification center. Notifications for new tips, ratings, achievements, payouts, and system messages. Grouped by date with unread dot indicators.

5. Settings (Gear icon)
Manage your profile, preferences, and account. Update your name, bio, email, and phone. Customize dark mode, font size, auto-refresh, and more.

Pre-Login Screens
Before signing in, you interact with:

Navigation Tips
- Go back: Use the system back gesture (swipe from left edge on iPhone; Android back button or swipe). Back navigation is available in all detail screens.
- Pull to refresh: Pull down on any screen to force-reload data.
- Landscape orientation: The app is portrait-only - rotating your device has no effect.
- Tab bar hide: The tab bar is automatically hidden when you are in Tap to Pay (Device) mode to give guests a clean payment interface.
App Onboarding Tour
The first time you open the app after installing, you see a 4-slide welcome tour:
- Boost Your Earnings - the digital tipping concept
- Get Paid Instantly - Stripe payouts
- Track Performance - analytics and ratings
- Build Your Brand - your personal QR code and profile
Tap Get Started on the final slide to reach the sign-in screen.
