How to Withdraw Your Tips as an Employee

Your Aplauso wallet accumulates tips as you earn them. When you're ready to transfer funds to your bank account, the withdrawal process takes about 30 seconds.

Before You Can Withdraw

You need a connected Stripe account with a verified bank account. If you haven't set this up yet:

1. Go to Settings → Payment Methods → Connect Stripe
2. Complete the 2-minute Stripe onboarding (SSN last 4, bank details)
3. Once your account shows Active, you can withdraw

Withdrawing from the Mobile App

1. Open the Aplauso app and tap Wallet in the bottom navigation bar.
2. Your Available Balance is shown at the top (this is the amount you can withdraw now).
3. Tap Withdraw.
4. Choose an amount:
   • Preset options: $25, $50, $100, $250
   • Custom amount: Tap "Custom" and enter any amount up to your available balance
5. Review the withdrawal summary:
   • Amount
   • Destination bank account (last 4 digits)
   • Estimated arrival time
6. Tap Confirm Withdrawal.
7. A confirmation screen appears. The funds are now in transit to your bank.

Withdrawing from the Web Dashboard

1. Go to my.aplauso.io and click Withdraw in the sidebar.
2. The same withdrawal flow appears - preset amounts or custom.
3. Confirm your bank account and click Withdraw.

Available Balance vs. Pending Balance

Your wallet shows two balance figures:

You can only withdraw from your Available balance. The Pending balance will move to Available automatically after Stripe clears it (usually within 1–2 business days for established accounts; up to 7 days for brand new accounts).

Withdrawal Minimums and Maximums

• Minimum withdrawal: $5.00
• Maximum per withdrawal: $10,000 (Stripe limit)
• Maximum per day: Determined by your Stripe account's daily payout limit (typically $10,000 for verified accounts)

If you need to withdraw a large amount above these limits, split it into multiple withdrawals on consecutive days.

Instant Withdrawal

If your connected bank account or debit card supports Instant Payouts (available for select US banks):

1. During the withdrawal flow, you'll see an Instant option alongside the standard option.
2. Select Instant - your funds will arrive within 30 minutes, any time of day, including weekends.
3. A small Stripe fee (approximately 1–1.5%) is deducted from the withdrawal amount.

After the Withdrawal

• You'll receive a push notification and email confirmation when the funds arrive at your bank.
• The withdrawal appears in your Transaction History with status: Pending → In Transit → Paid.
• Your Available Balance decreases immediately upon confirmation.
