Aplauso keeps you informed about new guest feedback, optional tip amounts, and payout events through both push notifications and the in-app Activity feed.
How Notifications Work
Aplauso now supports remote push notifications when your device allows them. When a guest leaves a rating, the app can notify you immediately. If that rating also includes a tip, the same notification includes the tip amount.
When the app is open, Aplauso also shows a branded in-app toast near the top of the screen. The unread badge appears on the Activity tab and on your app icon when supported by your device.
Notification Types

Where to Find Notifications
Open the Activity tab (pulse icon) to review recent feedback and related activity:
- A badge appears on the Activity tab when you have unread notification items.
- Opening the Activity tab clears unread notification badges.
- Tap a notification toast or related activity item to jump to the matching transaction detail.
Managing Notifications
Mark as Read
- Opening the Activity tab clears unread notification badges for your account.
- Opening a notification from a push alert also marks it as read.
Push Permission
- The first time Aplauso asks for notification permission, choose Allow to receive live alerts when the app is closed.
- If you previously denied permission, open your phone's system settings and enable notifications for Aplauso.
Notification Settings
Go to Profile → Settings → Notifications to manage the live notification controls currently available:

FAQ
Why didn't I get a push notification? Check that push permission is enabled for Aplauso on your device and that Push Notifications is still turned on in Aplauso settings.
Why do I sometimes see one alert for both a rating and a tip? That is expected. In Aplauso, guest feedback can include a rating by itself or a rating that also includes a tip amount. The notification reflects the full feedback event.
Notifications show the wrong time. Notifications use your device's local timezone. Make sure your phone's time zone setting is correct.
I don't see the unread badge anymore. The unread badge clears when you open the Activity tab or open the notification directly from the push alert.
