The Aplauso mobile app is the primary tool for employees to view their earnings, accept tap-to-pay tips, and manage their payout account. It is available on both iOS and Android.

If you opened the download page from a colleague's Aplauso referral link, the referral now stays attached when you continue into the app. On devices with the app already installed, Aplauso can open the app directly from the referral path. If you need to install the app first, Android can continue straight into Google Play while iPhone uses a short Continue to App Store handoff so the referral and acquisition path can still be recovered on first launch.
Tap to Pay requirement: To use the Tap to Pay feature for contactless payments you must have an iPhone XS or newer (iOS). On Android, your device must have NFC hardware and Android 8.0+. All other app features work on any supported device.
Step-by-Step Installation
iPhone
- Tap the App Store link above, or open the App Store on your iPhone and search "Aplauso Rewards."
- Tap Get next to the Aplauso Rewards app.
- Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.
- Once installed, tap Open.
Android
- Tap the Google Play link above, or open the Google Play Store and search "Aplauso Rewards."
- Tap Install on the Aplauso Rewards listing.
- Once installed, tap Open.
First Launch
The first time you open the app you will see a four-slide welcome tour:
- Boost Your Earnings - overview of the digital tipping model
- Get Paid Instantly - Stripe-powered payouts
- Track Performance - ratings and analytics
- Build Your Brand - personal QR code and profile
Tap Get Started on the final slide to proceed to sign-in.
If a referral code was attached to the download or signup link you used, the app will carry that referral into the sign-in flow automatically and claim it after your account is created, even if you had to install the app first from the store. On iPhone, expect one quick handoff tap before the App Store opens so Aplauso can preserve the install attribution.
Troubleshooting Installation

Keeping the App Up to Date
Enable automatic app updates in your phone settings so you always have the latest version with security patches and new features. If you need to update manually: App Store / Play Store → your profile icon → check for updates.
